About

Sterling Jerins was born on June 15th, 2004 in New York City, New York, where she still resides full time with her family. Considering that artistic talent runs in her family —her mother, Alana, was an actress in experimental theatre; her dad, Edgar, is an award wining artist; and her older sister, Ruby, is also an actress, best known for her roles in “Remember Me” and “Nurse Jackie”— it’s not surprising that Sterling ended up breaking into the entertainment industry at a very young age.

Even though Sterling has been booking modeling jobs and commercials since she was a baby, her career took off in 2011, at age 7, when she got the part of Constance Lane —the daughter of Brad Pitt’s character— in the zombie uprising film “World War Z”. She got to travel to the UK for the filming of this project. The following year, she stayed a bit closer to home to shoot James Wan’s “The Conjuring” in North Carolina. In the movie, Sterling plays Judy Warren, the daughter of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga). Both movies were released in 2013 to great box office success, which lead to Paramount Pictures announcing a sequel to “World War Z” and to New Line Cinema making “The Conjuring 2″. The latter premiered in 2016, with Sterling reprising her role as Judy Warren.

Since then, Sterling has been working non-stop, booking project after project. 2013 has been her busiest year to date: She worked with Diane Keaton on “And So It Goes” and “5 Flights Up” —and with Michael Douglas and Morgan Freeman, respectively—, she played a younger version of Charlize Theron’s character in “Dark Places” (based on Gillian Flynn’s novel) and she flew to Thailand to shoot the action thriller “No Escape” with Owen Wilson, Pierce Brosnan and Lake Bell.

More recently, Sterling wrapped up filming a Sci-Fi movie called “Geostorm” in New Orleans, HBO’s series “Divorce” alongside Sarah Jessica Parker in New York, and the indies “Paterson” and “Daisy Winters”.

When Sterling is not acting, she loves to spend time with her family and friends in New York, play the guitar, do ballet, and play with her dog, Dotsy.
